by m p griffiths @, Tuesday, November 29, 2011, 13:27 (4739 days ago) @ karencoupe123

Looking at Ancestry and death Index - Fanny Sophia BROWN's birth date is given as 11 September 1890. - died June 1989 Gloucester.

1891 Census , Coleford

?did Fanny's mother 'die in infancy' - hence having a 'wet nurse'?

May be Monmouthshire Union records would give some answers

Hi,
thanks so much for the info. i have been told that Fanny could well of been born in the Monmouthshire Workhouse so that information ties up well.

Im not sure that the 1881 census though can be the Fanny im looking for as she was born in 1890 so would not be on the 1881 census. however i do now know that the 1911 census is correct as an elderly relative/decendant of Frederick and Fanny has told me that Fanny did stay with the Hyett's.

again though, thank you for your help.

If you re-look at my message - On the 1891 census, Fanny BROWN age 7 months is being nursed by Elizabeth HAROBIN - who had a daughter Fanny age 5 on the 1881 census, I gave you.
