Phillip (1649) m Elizabeth ? Surname unknown

Robert (1718) m Elizabeth ? Surname unknown

Joseph (1784) m Sarah Nelmes
Phillip (1822) m Eleanor Buttery
who moved to Abertillery Mon about 1849-1855 with 6 children
Richard (1852) m Sarah Ann Harding
Richard Stanley (1896) m Edith May Hawkins
Donald Keith Hatton my father

We are therefore one of the South Wales branches. Others were in the Mountain Ash area of Glamorgan. One of the children of Phillip (1822) i.e. Henry Hatton (born 1849 in Abercarn Mon) seems to have disappeared after the 1881 census and it was rumoured that he went to the USA but I have no proof of this.

Have you found the marriage of Phillip (1649) to Elizabeth? Which branch are you?
