Marriage of a Henry JONES to a Hannah GUNDY (General)

Hi I've just recieved a copy of a certificate showing the marriage of a Henry
JONES (58, woodcutter father richard SMITH a collier)) to a Hannah GUNDY
(57,father James JONES a collier)) living at Joyford.

Hannah was born a JONES but no relation to Henry that I know of. In 1855 she had
a daughter Jane with no father mentioned. In 1857 hannah married a Benjamin
GUNDY and Jane was living with Hannah's mother Henry married a Mary (maiden name
may have been HARRIS) and this was shown on the 1861 census.

By 1871 Henry and Hannah was living together(Hannah was the housekeeper) and
they had a son henry in 1878. In 1889 they married Henry 58, a widower and
Hannah 57, a widow but Benjamin Gundy didn't die until 1895. Confused? I am.

However it gets more complicated as I also found a record of a marriage between
a Richard SMITH and an Alice GUNDY September 1891

Is anyone else researching these names Help would be appreciated

Sylvia
