Much Marcle marriage 1694 (General)

by hesione @, Tuesday, January 17, 2012, 23:30 (4689 days ago)

Has anyone got access to the Much Marcle parish register? My problem is that I have the information that Francis Inns married Ann Holder in Much Marcle on 16 April 1694. I have no idea who gave me the information, but on checking this site, I find that it is not shown in the transcript. I've checked the coverage of the transcripts, and I think that period is covered, but the marriage is not there. Can anyone check to see whether there is an omission in the transcript or whether the information is false? I'd be very grateful.

Many thanks

Many thanks for this. Another person has already checked the PR and the data does not appear to be there so there is no error in the index, The data may be in the BT, or there is an error in my data; one day I'll find out which.

Many thanks for this. It actually relates to the son of the man I am interested in (by a later wife), but I'm going to check all the data on this family so the information is very useful.

Many thanks

Could it be Francis and Elizabeth who were married at the end of the 17th c?

I have checked the register and there is no record of the marriage at Much Marcle in 1694. The only possibility is that it is in the Bishops Transcripts but not the parish register, but at present these have not been photographed for comparison. I can send you a copy of the relevant page of the Much Marcle register if you contact me offline.
