Wellington 's / Sutton nr Littledean (General)

Suton's Seeds was founded by a London man - John Sutton in Reading Berkshire. I'm not aware of a Gloucestershire connection.

The area near Littledean is named Sutton and has been for a while :-), I'm sure that Sutton Farm is just the name of a farm in Sutton (!) BTW Sutton is believe to be Saxon / Old English in origin , meaning South Farm or South Village - ties in with position relative to Dean Hall / Roman settlement and road etc...

Wellington's grove sounds like it was named in parallel with Wellington's Farm. And the Wellington family is probably responsible for the name of the Farm ..
