Woodside taken from the 1851 census HO107/1959/230/33

This is probably Littledean Woodside or Cinderford in the area of Bilson / Bilson Green
feels like Station Rd / Victoria St/ Valley Rd up to the area of the old gas works / iron wrks
10 pages earlier the Bridge Inn is enumerated, so a useful marker..at 138, Valley Rd
Cinderford, below St John's church

Colliers (Stand?) taken from 1861 census RG9/1755/44/1

This is probably in the Causeway Rd area / Heywood Colliery of Cinderford.

Plump Hill taken from the 1861 census RG9/1756/60/9

This is next door to the Gate House , near the Butchers Arm on Plump Hill
I suspect this was on the main Mitcheldean Rd below the Wilderness

Merrian Street taken from the 1891 census RG12/2006/116/25

This is probably nr the junction of Silver St and Merrin St in Mitcheldean
Its enumerated not far from the National School and the Rectory, so in modern Mitcheldean this
is known as Hawker Hill ( actually the very first part is Merrin St from the small roundabout up) leading from the Gloucester Rd up to the.Church.
On the junction there has been a recent housing development, might be called The Merrin .
on this page we have the end of Silver St and the Chapel
on the next page is the Wilderness
so I conclude that this is the part of Mitcheldean leading out towards Plump Hill
