FOD records

Marriage at Newland - 16 November 1703

Thomas MUTHWAY

residence: Clowerwall

married: Allice WORGAN

residence: Clowerwall

Notes: Compiled from latin PRs and BTs

---

as Thomas & Alice, also had their children christened and buried at Newland

? possible parents of Thomas - buried at Newland

MOTHWAY/MUTHWAY

Ann - 25 February 1687, residence Breeme - wife of William
William - 12 January 1696 - residence Breem

This couple have two children christened at Newland on FOD records - William - 10 June 1683, and Elizabeth 1 August 1675.

(this couple + the two children, William & Elizabeth, are listed on a couple of Public Members' Tree on Ancestry, as the parents, and siblings of Thomas)

---

and a Christopher MOUTHWAY from Breeme, married at Newland - Ann GREY - 2 May 1614.

? Bream is about 4 miles from Newland and approx 3 miles from Clearwell

There appear to be long standing MOTHWAY etc - from Breeme on FOD records
----

Have you used the Family Search Church of Latter Day Saints - and checking this surname and variants from say 1500-1700 in Gloucestershire.

Many older records are in baptisms/marriages/burials/wills are in Latin.

Wills are one of the best way of finding out family groups.
