From FreeBMD:

Full transcription for Ross District April/May/June 1855 Marriages Register From FreeBMD:

Surname First name(s) District Vol Page
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marriages Jun 1855 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
JONES Eliza Ross 6a 735
JONES Elizabeth Ross 6a 735
MITCHELL Samuel Ross 6a 735
WOODALL Thomas Ross 6a 735

So no doubt Ida's parents were married long afore Ida was born in 1882.

Looks like the earlier mentioned LDS Cnristening showing her father as Thomas was a simple transcription error from this Register, especially as he also married an Elizabeth Jones ?

I cannot search for Samuel's birth abt 1830 as before FreeBMDs records.
Searching Samuel on LDS:

From GlosFHS Census 1851, not perfect match agewise but correct location, Coberley is 2 miles from Cowley:

But I cannot see much before her marriage/surname change as there's lots! of Herefordshire Christenings for Eliza Jones' born abt 1837.

However the following deserves comparison with Samuel's 1861 Census above, I wonder if this is our Eliza who was also born abt 1837, or a relation, despite the fact that Eliza became Mitchell before this Census. At least I suggest deserves a look at the full household when possible.

"England and Wales Census, 1861,"

Cardiff Glos is either an error wrt Cardiff Wales, or refers to Walton Cardiff which is a small parish south of Tewkesbury.
