Ellen Worgan's family, Christchurch (General)

Hello everyone, I have been tracking down yet another part of my father's family. This time I am looking at ELLEN WORGAN.(Born 1875) I already have the details of her marriage to Hezekiah SIMMONS (known as Jim) courtesy of the kind and helpful people on this site. I have tracked down her parents: George and Mary Jane WORGAN.

The bit I would love to see are any census records of the family.

It is through this site that I have been able to track down the information so far which is fantastic.

(And the descendants of the families of the forest of Dean who are related to us are delighted with the investigation so far. So thanks again.)

Sorry. Wasn't too clear. It is George and Mary Jane Worgan and their children that I am trying to find out about. (Ellen was their daughter). I have been through the parish records and think I've got the baptisms of the children. I would like to see any census records of them. I don't know how you get them.

Thanks. I'll do that. I was just going through the terms and conditions.

I was interested to see that Mary Jane was born in Staunton because I knew someone was supposed to be born there. It must've been her.

I've just about completed what I set out to do ie my mother had promised to get the whole of the family history written down for the New Zealand Coopers. She can't see to write or read now so she dictated what she knew and I have tried to research the missing bits.

One of the last things my father said to me was: 'You'll take me down to the forest again won't you.' (We put his ashes over Yat Rock).

I can see now why the forest meant so much to him.

Thanks. Thanks. And more thanks.

Hi George, found you by accident whilst at my Dads his name is Royston Simmons. He used to visit you at Monks Kirby when he was passing in his lorry. He remembers the day His ashes were scattered at Yat Rock because he was the one that scattered them. He has loads of memories of the Worgans and he would love to talk to you. I don’t know if you will get this message, but if you do we will have to arrange a meeting.
