Hi Janet,
Are you still on this forum?

Did you ever get to the bottom of this mystery?
I'm researching the Halford family, specifically William Halford born c1848.
I have him with his wife from 1871 onwards.
In 1861 William is with siblings Charles and Charlot Halford.
In 1851 William (4) is with parents George Halford and Harriot Halford with children Jesse 14, Emma 10, George 8, Charles 6 and Thomas 1.

Closest result I can find in 1841 is George and Harriet JENKINS with various children including Jesse and Emma.

A strange one. I have no idea how to progress this.
