Hi Jeff,Thanks for looking;I have Charles Snell as born in Dyrham c1673,Ann Hathaway also born Dyrham.Their daughter,Melior Snell also born Dyrham.I don't have a place of birth for Ann Hathaway though.Sorry I can't be more specific,this is info I found on a family tree on the net so I can't be sure of it's accuracy, Thank you,Jan

Dyrham is some way out of the Forest of Dean. Is there a connection ?

BIGLAND's book of Monumental Inscriptions:
Thomas SLOPER, son of Thomas SLOPER of Acton Turville in this county
and late of this parish [ Dyrham], by Sarah his wife, daughter of John NEALE, of
this parish, died 11 Jan 1771 aged 76.
Also, Melior, wife of Thomas SLOPER, daughter of Charles and Ann SNELL
of this parish died 29 Mar 1777 aged 77.


m 1721 Dyrham sp-Melior SNELL d1777. D'r of Charles SNELL & Ann HATHAWAY. 10 chn.
23 May 1771: admin of the estate of Thomas Sloper of Dyrham, blacksmith, granted to
his widow Mellior Sloper.
