I favour the Jan-March 1886 Registration being yours, I think this infers the corresponding GlosBMD birth actually occurred in late 1885.

As you probably know there are more than one William Henry Hawkins births around that time to cloud the hunt
eg the nearest from FoD PRs, right area but wrong parents
