Hello Andy,

Just by some chance I just happened to see your posting on Google that you were looking for some information. Naboth Barnard was my grandfather but I never remember him as I believe he died in 58. ( I was 2 at the time).
He was a pit boy at age 10 but moved to London to start a horse drawn taxi service to which King Edward awarded him a prize for a fabulous horse he had around 1903.

One of his sons was George Edward Barnard who was my Dad , to which I was born and raised in London, but emigrated to the US many years ago.

Naboth's Dad was named James and apparently I heard there is a portrait of him in the speech house in the middle of the forest of Dean somewhere . He had a long bushy red beard and was married to either Emma or Matilda.

I'm curious to know if this information might be helpful to you.

Let me know when time,

Best regards,

John.
