Does the borders of Forest Dean include, Sutton St Michael, Sutton St Nicholas and Blackmarston in Hereford?
Thanks

Hi Jo & welcome to the forum.
From the homepage of this website is this "definition" of the Forest, altho it's northern boundaries have always been open to interpretation.

In fact just last month we discussed them and agree they do intrude into south Herefordshire, this prior thread may be of interest to you.

However your area is very much Hereford city or just north of, so no it's not part of the Forest. Looking at this site's PRs I see some Baggetts listed, they seem to be mainly in the northern edge of the Forest out as far as Ledbury, so certainly in the right "neck of the woods" for your possible interests.

Hi Jeff
Thank you for your prompt reply and welcome. I wish there were more sites like yours, it does help. The Baggett family that I am searching would appear to be from Hereford, with one son residing in Ledbury, your site has helped me with his line. Thank you.

Baggett Family in Ledbury

Hi Jo,
thanks for your kind words. Yes this is a great site, we're very fortunate indeed for the marvellous efforts of it's creators, but I must stress it's not my site, I just try to contribute when I feel I may be able to help.
Sorry if I'm telling you what you already know, but please don't forget to use spelling variations of the Baggett name when searching the many thousands of PRs on this site, I see at least one Baggitt in Ledbury, plus many Baggotts, Baggetts & Bagots out in that direction too at Ledbury, Marcle and so on. I realise the Soundex will probably find these but it will also find the likes of Bowkett, Bassett amongst 1300 or so PRs. Also don't forget to search this forum, you may find someone else has already searched part of your line.
Happy Hunting !
