Jayne surname research (General)
by Rob Jayne , London, Friday, July 12, 2013, 09:29 (4147 days ago)
I am commencing research on Jayne family, which has long connections to the Forest, and I would appreciate any dialogue and information exchange on this family surname. In particular, information or knowledge regarding my grandfather Howard Jayne (born 1883) is of particular interest.

I will email you directly with details of a family history website dedicated to the Jayne's and their relatives.
You will need to email the Administrator for access though as she appears to be a first cousin twice removed of your grandfather I doubt that will be a problem.
The Jayne's in my family tree to whom I am related are mainly 5th and 6th cousins. Given the links between Forest families, I suspect many users of this wonderful site are similarly related!

Hello,
I know I'm a few years late to this conversation, but may I have the information for the Jayne website as well? I believe Howard's father and my 3rd great grandfather may have been brothers. His name was Stephen Jayne 1833-1901. His son Albert married Eliza Trigg and they came to the US with their family, one of their children being my great-grandmother Elizabeth Edna Jayne.
Thank you for any information you can share. This site is amazing!
