welcome back, really pleased you enjoyed your visit last month !
Two quick questions to start,

1. Have you seen this cd-rom from the Glos FHS, it's said to contain M.I.s for some of the Churches you mention ?. Seeing as you were near Gloster so recently I do hope you DO have a copy !. I haven't used it so cannot vouch or otherwise for it. http://gfhs.org.uk/products-page/cddvd/monumental-inscription-2003-2/

2. To perhaps save revisiting old ground, can we assume you've already searched the PR database on this site, I've looked-up a couple of the BMDs you've quoted and it looks like you have seen the PRs here ?

3. Re Elizabeth's surname, the two(?) Marriage Records in this site's PRs don't seem to match your Howard/Doward name. Sorry if I've missed an old thread or somesuch, but please clarify your thinking here, are the PRs definitely in error ?

N.B: I've used Advanced search to try and find Baptisms PRs on this site for these surnames, or close fits, but sadly no luck yet.

I see Elizabeth was aged abt 30 when she married. This seems quite old to me for that time, have you considered this might be her second marriage hence wrong surname to search for her birth ?
