My name is Doug Lavender. My great, great grandmother was Elizebeth Jackson born August 2, 1840 I believe in Park End. Does anyone have records of this lady who at an early age went to America and married Thomas C, Lavender which started our family here in the states.

Thanks,

Doug

Hi Doug, welcome to the forum and website.

I guess you've already tried searching the site's HUGE database of local Parish Records, if not please do, its free, find it under the "Resources" heading. From that I can find this Birth;

Record_ID: 49761

From this hopefully can also find the Marriage of Benjamin & Sarah Ann, and so on.
Have you any specific queries, it always helps to know what you already know to save our possible duplication ?

This MIGHT be her parent's marriage, the 1841 Census will be a great help to give the household.

Bob; My line also traces back to William Jackson- actually Daniel who married Elizabeth Hawker.
Daniel to William b. 1826 then his son Tom b 1847 who married Rosannah Apperley.
They came to NZ about 1878 and had 10 children ( 3 born in the UK).
Tom's son Reginald b. 1889 was my grandfather.
His son Roy b 1924 my father.
Myself (Ian) born 1947' I have a son and daughter.
Two grandkids Anna and Elizabeth.
I have a good family tree on an Excel spreadsheet should you wish to see it let me know.

Look forward to hearing from you

regards

Bob; According to the tree William (1843) was my g.grndfathers brother who was Tom (1847). Their father was William (c1820) who married Harriet Jones on 31/12 1842. I have no record of a who William (1843) married-he died 1884.
He had 8 brothers and one sister (I have info as to some of their marriages and family).
William (1820) had two brothers (John and Daniel) and one sister Diana.
Their parents were Daniel and Elizabeth Hawker.
Daniels parents: William who married a Mary Palmer (b1776).
If you need any more let me know.
