Hi Margi,
thanks very much for your kind words, but please be assured it was my pleasure researching your brave cousin, the least I could do to help honour his memory.

You mention Vincent Hammond. Searching the CWGC website, as I'm sure you already know, gave this entry which I presume is him:

"HAMMOND, VINCENT EDWARD

Vincent was a Knighton lad,
from FreeBMD:

Hammond Vincent Edward Knighton 11b 117

Searching his name online gave his entry in this extensive Roll of Honour within the Border Regiment website, it adds that Vincent was "Formerly S/No: 4421 Hereford Regt."

He is one of the 32 WW1 soldiers named on the Knighton War Memorial.

Also found this site, if you click his name it will open a photo of Vincent's grave.

Update: I have searched the Welsh Newspapers site but I'm afraid I cannot find any mention of him at all. I also see you have already found the above post on the Border Regiment forum, so sorry but I have nothing new for you it seems.
