Ancestry.com Dates (General)

I have a problem with dates. My wife's Aunt & Uncle Elsie Muriel & Stanley Jones have a headstone at Viney Hill on the headstone it states Elsie born 1908 died 1992, Stanley b 1905 d 1992. On Ancestry, Stanley's death is down as January 1991 & Elsie as April 1991. As far as I can make out these are the correct people on Ancestry both birth years are correct.
Another poser on the Jones family concerning Stanley's sister,I know her name was Rosina(Rose) Jones and she married a Leonard Taylor. I'm not sure of her birth date. I had a Rosina Bessie Jones registered Oct quarter 1907, Bessie being her mothers name. But my wife's mother was born 1907 and was registered Oct quarter 1907, so I think that Rosina is wrong. There is a Rosina Jones born 1909 which could fit in as a child was born 1908 & 1910. At the moment I can't find a Rosina Taylor's death, which could of been 1983. Can anyone shed any light on this for me please.
Regards
Jim.

Looking on 1837 online for deaths of Stanley Jones b 1905 between January 1991 and Dec 1992 the only two that fit the bill are

JONES, Stanley
Gloucester
1991
January

JONES, Stanley
Wrexham/m
1992
May

Hope that helps

Thank you for the reply, Brian. Yes that's the ones on Ancestry. I'm looking at a photo I took of the headstone and the wording is:-

In Loving memory
of
Elsie Muriel Jones
1908-1992
and her dear husband
Stanley
1905-1992
Whose ashes were committed to
the River Severn as he wished.
Can't see the headstone being wrong as there are two children and it would be noticed, so there must be some other explanation.

Hello again Jim

These were not from Ancestry but from the 1837 online copy of the GRO index. I am afraid I can offer no answer other than suggesting you look at the burial register for the parish in question - they wouldn't be buried in a different year to the index I wouldn't have thought.

Brian
