On the 1841 census at Oakwood, Park Lane Oakwood

Quoted was

Richard JAMES - 30 - Miner - Y
Ann JAMES - 30 - Y
Richard JAMES - 6 - Y (1851 census living with the FRANKLIN Family - Nephew)
Thomas JAMES - 4 - Y (ditto)
Maria JAMES - 2 -Y

then quoted was the 1851 census at Coalway, Coleford

? not sure this is the same family as the 1841 census - as the maiden name of the children's mother quoted below is EVANS (GlosBMD) and Martha JAMES living with the FRANKLIN on GlosBDM 1841 - mother's maiden name is FRANKLIN

Richard JAMES - 40 - Labourer, born Glos, Coleford
Ann JAMES - 36 - Glos Coleford
Cathrine JAMES - 10 - Glos Coleford
Elizabeth JAMES - 8 - Glos Coleford
Eliza JAMES - 3 - Glos, Coleford
James JAMES - 1 - Glos Coleford

?

think this is the family in 1841 at Coleford

Richard JAMES - 30
Ann JAMES - 25
Mary Ann JAMES - 3
Catherine JAMES - 4 months

Richard JAMES - Bachelor of Newland, married Ann EVANS, Spinster of Newland - 13 May 1837

Assume George FRANKLIN aged 31 and a Blacksmith on the 1851 census born Bream, is Ann JAMES (nee FRANKLIN's brother)
