I understand that the Mr Cinderey (however spelled) the quarry owner who donated the stone, was also a church warden, which seems reasonable. If this is correct, his full name is likely to appear in parish council or whatever church records were maintained at the time. I understand that these records are at the Gloucester Records Office. Has anyone checked these?
