Hello everyone,

Just discovered one of my 3x great grandmothers was an Elizabeth WORGAN before marrying a William BROWN at Bristol St. James in 1834. (That is all the detail of the marriage I have.)

It took a while to find the marriage, as he was born in Congresbury, Somerset and by the 1841 census is living with Elizabeth in Chew Stoke. Their 1851 entry has her place of birth as 'Nusefield, Glos.', which I couldn't work out till finding their 1861 where it's given as 'Brockwear'.

In 1841, her age is in the 30-34 bracket; in 1851, it's 48; in 1861, it's 55; in 1871, it's 68, which it was also given as on her death in 1872.

There is an Elizabeth WORGAN, illegitimate daughter of Anne, baptised in Hewelsfield on February 5, 1804, which fits the 1851 and 1871/2 age. (Record ID: 288770)

The second is the daughter of Richard and Rachel, baptised in Hewelsfield on April 12, 1807, which fits the 1841 and 1861 age. (Record ID: 288820)

If anyone knows which one she is or can't be, I'd really appreciate the help. Have searched the forum and didn't see mention of either of them, but apologies if something got by me.

Cheers,
Hels
