Hi again Dawn.

I hoped that searching the forum for prior threads that mention those family names together might help us understand the various connections ? However sadly I didnt find much;

Whittington / Hewitt - sorry I cannot find any previous relevant threads, please clarify what you know about this possible link.

Whittington / Hamilton - sorry, again cannot find any previous relevant threads.

Whittington / Berkeley - please see https://forum.forest-of-dean.net/index.php?id=28602
"Dick Whittington ... was born at Pauntley about 1357, the third son of William Whittington, Lord of Pauntley. In 1352 William had married Joan ... the widow of Sir Thomas (de) Berkeley, of Coberley," so widow Berkeley was Dick's mother.

"Whittington was a younger son of a Gloucestershire landowner, Sir William de Whittington of Pauntley Manor, who, in 1348, represented the county in Parliament. His mother was Dame Joan Mansell or Maunsell, daughter of the Sheriff of Gloucester."

Please post again with more information re Hewitt, Hamilton, and so help us to help you, thanks.

Note: I did try looking at some of your own posts in earlier threads, but many of them have been "removed" so not very informative. I have no idea why this is so, it would be helpful to know.
