BNA Hereford Times - Saturday 07 July 1855

CHAXHILL.—INQUEST.— On Monday last an inquest was held at the Farmer's Boy beerhouse, before J. Lovegrove, Esq., on the body of Charles Harper, blacksmith, aged 59 years. It appears that on the 21st ult., while the deceased was shoeing a horse, the animal threw the unfortunate man against the wall with such force as to fracture his skull. He was attended by Mr. Grant, surgeon, but only lingered until Saturday last, when he died. He has left a wife and a large family to lament their loss. The jury returned a verdict of accidental death.
