Pewsties ? in Walford. (General)
There is a newspaper report in the Ross Gazette, August 8th, 1867, that mentions a cottage called Pewstys. It belongs to Daycroft Farm. Daycroft Farm can be found on maps and a nearby cottage, labelled as Daycroft Cottage, would seem to fit as being Pewstys. I have a Will that mentions Pewstys and orchards and the cottage on the map has an orchard. Not definite but quite likely I think. The map can be viewed at https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=17&lat=51.88215&lon=-2.59633&layers=1...
