I found Graham Lee's tree on Ancestry. He claims Ernest Gamble died 1938 at 41 Riffel Road, Willesden. I can't find any record to match this. However, I did find Annie living at that address in 1952 with her mother. Whereas she was living at 97 Chapter Road in 1939. I also found her at 97 Chapter Road in the 1936 records along with Ernest but his entry is written as George Ernest Gamble not Ernest G Gamble.

Going back to the GRO, I now find a death for Ernest in 1938 but, again, it's entered as George Ernest Gamble.

And Free BMD has a marriage between George E Gamble and a Davis in 1936. (edit) This may not be Annie as the name is Ellen A Davis so not a good match.
