You could do with the marraige cert of William Rivers to Elizabeth Harris-
I've had a look through the indexes back to 1904 but can't see it- Did your grandfather live in the F-O-D all his life? Do you know anything more about his parents? Could they have married elsewhere?

There is a possible baptism on this site at Drybrook of William Wallace Rivers to William and Charlotte Rivers in 1887- If you can confirm the father's details from the marriage of William to Elizabeth then we can go back on the census with the family.
