Thanks Mike for this very thorough and comprehensive detail, Edward carpenter who married Grace Amelia Adams, the daughter of Tom Hedley Adams is a completely different person to the Tom Adams in my tree I will now continue by searching for any other children Edward and Grace had. My son in laws father is John who is Edwards son. After a 10yr break because of work commitments I have only just come back on this site already my interests have been restored.
