Ellen Thyne/Thynne/Tyne (General)

My gt grandmother was left widowed in 1892 while living at Wadley's End. Two children had died, two sons joined the Merchant Navy, and the other son had disappeared. Although he (Patrick) appears in the 1891 census as a miner boarding in Totley. That is the last listing I have of him. I think I have Ellen's death, thanks to a member on this site although the name appearing on the death certificate says Ellen Tyne. She died in St Josephs hospital, who have no records due to the war which destroyed them. I was hoping to confirm that she was my Ellen and had come from Winterbourne. Is it likely Ellen unable to support herself could have gone to stay in a 'home' of some sort, or workhouse? Are there any well known institutions I could be looking in? Once again would appreciate any help. Thanks
