I think the most likely candidate is James Morgan son of James & Jane baptised at Bream Chapel, Newland on 23 February 1777.

My reasoning is that the first two children of James Morgan & Ann Batten were named Elizabeth & Jane, the names of their two mothers and the father`s names James & Thomas were used for subsequent sons. Mary Batten was baptised on 19 October 1777, so James & An were almost the same age.
