Absolutely nothing!
If you wish to gain further information I suggest you get a copy of the birth certificate. You can order on line. Go to:
http://www.familyrecords.gov.uk/frc/research/bmdmain.htm
This will give you date and place of birth and names of parents including mother's maiden name.
The entry from the Index is the only one for a Raymond CAPENER in 1906/7
If you wish to plough through the indexes for a marriage and his death you can do so for free at:
http://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx
He does not appear to be listed in the Death Indexes for 1984 - 2004 so it would appear that died before then.
Good luck
Mike

The only information I have of Ray Capener is that he had a barber's shop in Lower High Street, Cinderford during the 1940's and 1950's, maybe earlier. My father, Harold Penn, had his hair cut there regularly.
Hope this helps.

Hello Debbie,
I cannot remember there being any name other than R. Capener for the salon.
However, I seem to remember Ray was best man at my Aunty Beat's wedding in the 1920's. Her name is Beatrice Storey and her husband was Alfred. I believe I have a photo somewhere which I will try and find. I do remember him myself. Aunty is still alive at 102 years, but unfortunately she has had a stroke and cannot remember very much.
Regards,
Margaret

Hi Margaret
Thank you very much for your email. This is all rather exciting as my sister and I do not know very much at all about Uncle Ray.
If you have a photo that would be fantastic.

Dear Margaret
thank you soo much for the photo. I was really excited to receive it and went on the sungreen website to pick it up! Your aunt looks very pretty in the picture and it's a pity that she can now no longer remember too much. However, to get this picture is certainly a bonus. I am sure i remember the Storeys being mentioned by my grandmother (Gladys Capener, Ray's older sister). Mmy sister has some old photos of Glads' wedding and i have asked her to send them to me so that i can include them on the site. You never know there may be others in the photos that Cinderford people may possibly recognise.
Thank you once again.
Debbie

Dear Margaret
i asked my sister if she had any old photographs of nanny's wedding (Ray Capener's sister Gladys) and she has brought a box of them for me. In them are a couple of photographs of your auntie Beattie's wedding! Would you like me to email them to you?

Have you tried the Capeners of Brockworth (just beyond Gloucester) and the Bishop's Cleeve / Cheltenham branches? My fmaily has links with them. I have some details of 1800s and earlier if that helps:
