Marriage George (Barnfield) Hale to ? Powell (General)

My grandfather George (Barnfield) Hale was born in 1884. The Barnfield part of his surname is his grandmothers maiden name Ruth Barnfield. In the 1901 census, George Hale was a boarder (age 17) with the Whittle? family.
Public record office ref RG 13/4921 Page 29 of 67.

Iam trying to track his marriage to my grandmother ? Powell. I think their first child (one of eleven) Harriet Ester was born in 1910. My grandmother died realatively young (unsure of what - my mother claimed is was as a result of an accident). My grandfather remarried (to Maud Eliza James)on 26 December 1942 (I have a copy ofthe marriage certificate - I'm surprised that Register Offices were open on Boxing Day).

I would appreciate any information.

Many thanks,

Robert Tucker

PS Many thanks to 'Slowhands' and the Dean Hertitage Museum for their help. At last I've sorted out the mystery of the double barrelled surname 'Barnfield-Hale'
