This Is Where they hung the Donkey (General)
When I was a child, whenever we drove through the Forest on the way to somewhere my father always used to tell me that my maternal Grandfather would always say 'This is were they hung the Donkey' as they drove through.
I have no idea at which point along the main raod through to Monmouth he said this, but I am curious as to whether this is an 'urban myth' or if a Donkey was accidentaly hung. Anyone else heard this story from family members?
