ASTON Family, Newlands (General)

I'm on a roll today!

I was just trying to tidy up some of my enteries on Ancestry when I came across a 'match' for Edward Aston (b 1719 Newlands). I know he married a lady called Patience and they had:-

Richard b 1745
Thomas b 1747
Benjamin b 1752
Jane b 1755
Sarah b 1764
Elizabeth b 1781 - married William Frowen (my 4 x g grandparents)

The match suggested that the parents of Edward Aston we Edward Aston b 1681 and Sarah ? b 1686.

Edward senior's parents = Philip G Aston and Mary Marsh (b 1757)

Great grandparents = William Aston and Margaret Gorwill (b 1718)

Great great grandparents = William Aston and Penelope Burgess

As you can see, the dates given for births can not be correct and I wondered if these were actually dates of death?

Just wondered if anyone on here has done any research into this family and can confirm or deny this info? I have sent a email to the person who i think entered this information as well.

Reference to Elizabeth Aston 1781, Philippa I think you may have a generation missing, Richard born 1745 had a daughter Betty Aston 1781, who may have married your William Frowen.

My connection is with Anne Aston 1790 daughter of Richard & Susannah, who married a Jeremiah Smith.

I have found a baptism for an Edward Assen son of Edward & Sarah at Newland 15 May 1721.

I hope this helps...........Gill

Thanks Gill, Does that mean we have a connection?

I was a bit concerned about the age gap of the siblings but have been using information passed to me by a Frowen relation and had no real reason (until now) to doubt it.

Are you able to fill in the gaps for me with regard to Elizabeth's parents?
