HOCKADAY family, Lydney (General)

A note sent to us from Colin Wilton-Davies

I'm so happy to have found your site, and have many happy memories of the Lydney
area. My grandfather was Frank Step Hockaday - died before I was born- and I
remember visiting his widow Jane at Highbury (Bream Road, Lydney) before the
war.

My mother (Dorothy Eileen Wansbrough H) was born there 1898, and I have many
pictures of the house and grounds. My mother and one of her sisters were married
in St Mary's church.

My grandfather was proprietor of the coalmine "Parkend Deep Navigation". Hope to
find out much more.

Now I live in Jersey
