Looking for researchers of this connected family.

**Working Notes**
The Coleman family has connection to the Rudge family.

I. Nancy Coleman married to William Rudge
A. There is a marriage date of 17 October 1808 at English Bicknor, Gloucestershire, England

B. From that marriage there were at least 3 or 4 children born in England.
i. William Rudge: Baptised: 17 December 1809 Longhope, Gloucestershire, England
ii. James Rudge: Baptised: 29 September 1811 Longhope, Gloucestershire, England
iii. Mary Ann Rudge: Baptised: 20 Feburary 1814 Longhope, Gloucestershire, England
iv. John Rudge: Baptised: 25 Feburary 1816 Longhope, Gloucestershire, England

C. I began searching the records for John b. abt. 1816 in Longhope, Gloucestershire because I had been given that as his place of birth from the 1851 Ashton Ingham, Newent District, Herefordshire, English Census.

D. I believe that the 1851 census was correct because it listed the members that should have been as part of the household and the parents place of birth as Longhope, Gloucestershire, England. ie:
i. John Rudge 33 yrs
ii. Mary Rudge
iii. William Rudge 4 yrs
iv. Sarah Rudge 9 mo.

E. While searching the Baptism records for John Rudge 1816, I found that father was listed as William and that his mother was listed as Nancy. I next looked for James and found James Rudge with a Baptism date of Sep. 1811. (A note here it said that James' father was William and that his mother was Ann) I believe that it is still William and Nancy and that it was entered as Ann or Nan.

F. From there I looked for the Marriage information on William to a Nancy

G. The fact that the father was listed as William made some sense to me because I had always felt that since John Rudge b. 1816 and James b.1811 had both named their first born male child WILLIAM, that chances were that their fathers name was WILLIAM!

II. Mary Coleman married to John Rudge
A. There is a marriage date of December 1845 Record #XI/510 , I think in Herford, Herefordshire, England.
