Sarah JONES Hewelsfield abt 1783 (General)

by peveral, Saturday, February 24, 2007, 15:39 (6483 days ago)

I am interested in Sarah Jones of Hewelsfield. baptised 3 Aug 1783 at Hewelsfield (per Family Search LDS) Mother and father were James Jones and Ann(e). There are three other baptisms after this date listed here in the parish records that may be related to her and I am hoping that somebody may have more knowledge of this family. If they have I would be glad to exchange my research on Sarah Jones and William Peveral.

Thank you

Pat
These are the three Baptisms that I think could be Sarah's family:

Sarah JONES Hewelsfield abt 1783

Thank you Bertha

I would not have thought of linking the enquiry up to previous ones re the Peveral Family.

I have just found their marriage and it is just my luck to go from a name where the spelling variations are just about as many as the Jones families!

Thank you again.

Kind regards

Pat

Thankyou very much Slowhands.

That will be lovely if Thomas is one of Sarah's brother. We do have another Isaac in the family so perhaps that name alone will help me to confirm the relationship. I assume that Fanny is Frances and perhaps this also may give me a clue to how she is related. Lovely name Frances, why on earth it was used as Fanny amazes me!

Thank you again, you have given me a lot to work on.

Kind regards

Pat

p.s. I now have confirmation that Sarah had brothers, William, Thomas, and James and a sister Mary (Hayman) I will spend more time in confirming their Baptisms etc

If it is of any assistance Arkells Court is Harthill Court the known abode of Samuel Edwards (MI in Hewlsfield churchyard). James Partchard is almost certainly James Pritchard a relative of Samuel's.
