Lydney and Aylburton District Nursing Association (General)

In 1937 there was some trouble about getting new nurses for the Lydney and Aylburton Distict Nursing Association. A Nurse Palin had been there for over 15 years and one faction was happy with her work. Another, Dr. John B. Christopherson, for some reason wanted to get rid of her.

This story was partially written up in the local newspaper.
I'd like to know more.

Does anyone remember the name Christopherson? His wife's name was Joyce and they lived at 'Heaven's Gate' (now re named I understand) in or near Lydney. Anyone know anything about Nurse Palin? Are there notes, papers etc extant from the Nursing Association during that time?

Anything about the Christophersons?
thanks
