I have someone giving their birthplace as High Beech. Could someone tell me whereabout this was please. Other siblings were born in Drybrook and Nailbridge. I don't know whether it is my eyes or not but I can't see High Beech.

Thanks

Jenny

High Beech was a hamlet just a little north of Lydbrook on the way to Ruardean.

If you go to the Parish Map of the Forest and locate Lydbook and then zoom in three tmes you will see High Beech Road. I would imagine what was once High Beech is now part of Lydbrook.

Hello David and Slowhands.

Wow! a global response. Thank you for your replies. I looked and looked this morning but couldn't find it.....I knew it had to be there somewhere.

Many thanks

Jenny
