Aston Ingham-is it in the Forest? (General)

My Forest of Dean antecedents came from Taynton, Huntley, Aston Ingham and Clifford Mesne, all of which places are within a small area,no more than 5 miles or so from each other. However I have found that Aston Ingham and Clifford Mesne, possibly because they now come under Herefordshire rather than Gloucestershire have been omitted from the list of parishes whose records have been transcribed.

Are there any plans to include them in the future? I realise that you have to set the limits somewhere but it seems a pity when the boundaries weren't the same in times past. Aston Ingham is a lot nearer to the heart of the Forest than places like Dymock! Mine can't be the only family whose members moved around.

Congratulations to all those who must have put in so much work in doing the transcriptions.

to do or not to do ?

You will be glad to know these parishes are under consideration, other constraints are volunteers to transcribe / check and of course the raw "records" from the relevant Archive.

Our project co-ordinator has this activity on the list.

Thank you very much, slowhands, for replying so promptly to my query about Aston Ingham. It's nice to know that Aston Ingham has not been ignored by the transcribers.
