Philip JONES born abt. 1796 in Short Standing (General)

I have been trying to sort out the various Jones families in West Dean, looking in particular at Philip born abt. 1796 in Short Standing. He was married to Sarah born abt 1802.
I did find Sarah with their children Eliza, Emma, Harriet, Sarah, Sussanah, and Philip junior on the 1841 census, but not Philip who may have been working away. I am trying to push back and find Philip's marriage, birth, and his parents, without luck so far.
Confusingly, there seems to be a parallel Philip and Sarah with similar dates. Any help in unravelling this would be most welcome.
