IMM - JONES marriage 1837 (General)

Thank you so much Slowhands that is the correct James Jones, that links him with his parents, James Jones and Elizabeth Morgan, and is confirmed by his occupation being a miner and his children's names. I think the one at Brockweir may have been a lawyer and the downward leap to miner may have been a wondrous thing!

I have now pieced together, thanks to your help, the family of James Jones and Elizabeth Morgan and at least two of his children. It truly is amazing how these families in the Forest are inextricably linked. I have learnt coincidently that one of Mary Ann's children, for example, married a Vaughan and went to the USA.

My big challenge now is to find out if James Jones born between 1784-1786 is actually the one I am looking for and if his father and mother is my James Jones and his wife Anne. I know for sure that they had a child called James. There is no baptism in Hewelsfield for him but I do have one other source document that might confirm this for me, and my hopes rest with this.

Thank you again, you have been really good to me, and I really appreciate the hard work you have done.
Kind regards,
Pat
