Hoping that someone might be able to help out with John Jones b. c1805 Newent.
1841 census shows occupation as Carpenter, living at Ealoms Hill wife Hannah children Sarah aged 7, John aged 4.

I have a strong hunch they married in Upleadon, but as yet cannot find a record, although IGI throws up one possible surname (Knight). I cannot confirm this.

1851 census shows Johns mother Sarah as head of house aged 81, with John as son, John g'son, Henry g'son, James g'son and all living at Hooks Lane. A Hannah Jones is listed as a lodger with Joseph Gladwin along with a William Jones aged 2. Subsequent cesus records show John's occupation as Wheelwright.

Any help, particularly on the marriage, would be much appreciated.
Many Thanks
David

A possible marriage from the transcribed records on this site:

28 Jun 1825 Mitcheldean
Groom - John JONES bachelor of Hundred of St. Briavels
Bride - Hannah COOPER Spinster of Hundred of St. Briavels
Married after banns. He signed and she made her mark. The witnesses were Henry Bossom and Susanna Gibbs.
