Caleb KEAR BALDWIN
I'm not sure I entirely follow the conversation, however I am a descendant of Caleb Kear (1845-1912). He was my great-great-grandfather on my paternal grandmother's side. I have a great deal of genealogical information about this family. My grandmother, the former Annie Kear b. 1907 had a long life and passed away in Canada in 1999. She had no connection to her own family for 50 years, after emigrating to Canada in 1927, until I was able to connect with them in the 1980's. I still maintain contact with the family who are located in West Yorkshire.
Caleb Kear, as was stated in the most recent posts, was the son of Edith and William Kear, who I believe were cousins. This was a tricky bit of genealogical tracing since they both had the same last name. I do not believe Edith and William ever married as data I received has her listed as a spinster. If there was a Caleb Kear Baldwin I would suggest that this was not the same person as Caleb Kear (1845-1912), and perhaps the son of one of his sisters or aunts, as suggested above.
If anyone wishes to contact me about Kear family history, please post here or email me.
