It's me again and something is really bugging me! All my father's family were regular chapel-goers. Today my Mum showed me my Dad's Baptism certificate, but I cannot find it (or his 7 siblings) on the Parish Records. His name Eric Thomas Morse b 15 July 1916. Baptism United Methodist Church, Ruspidge on 14 September 1916. Am I missing something?! Regards Chris W

Many of the Non-conformist records unfortunately no longer exist and in looking
through the list of records held by Gloucestershire Archives there is non for the
United Methodist circuit Ruspidge.
I noticed the following in the Gloucestershire Archives, Genealogical handlist,
but maybe this practice changed in later years:
The Baptists did not practise infant baptism, so baptismal registers will
consist of adult entries. However, for some chapels, birth registers only are
held here.
