Many of the the parish records we have available free for all to view on this Web site have been transcribed from photographic images taken of the original records at the Gloucestershire Archives.

If we were to be charged in the future for using a camera in obtaining photographic images of the parish records it would certainly slow down the projects progress. Therefore, I would encourage you all to support the petition of putting a stop to the new charge they have introduced, on the use of personal cameras at the Gwent records office and also at the same time it will discourage any other records offices of implementing such a charge.
