Photo of Mitcheldean houses? (General)

IF Maud was about 4 on the 1901 census and her parents were Arthur and Annie Wintle, then the answer is Silver Street Mitcheldean, and the big houses among the trees on the skyline would be on the Abenhall Road. The "lie of the land" would support this theory, but I have't been there for ages and don't know about this row of houses. There are some modern brick houses in the Silver Street area (behind the Garage) which you see from the main road nowadays.
