Early days at Stone Cottage, Yorkley, Gloucestershire
by Freda Phipps (nee Morse)

Whilst researching my Morse family I came acaross this account written by Freda
Phipps (nee Morse) when she was aged 80 in 1992.She was born at Stone Cottage,
Yorkley in 1912, daughter of George King Bailey Morse and Edith Matilda Watts.

Generations of Morses had lived in Stone Cottage since it was built in the
1850s. Neighbouring families are talked about in detail and I hope that on
reading this previously unpublished account of life as she was growing up in
Yorkley someone may recognise their ancestors' names.

What a lovely story!
Makes you realise how important it is to write down ( & treasure) those memories.
