Would someone be baptised twice? (General)
Thanks for the reply Slowhands:)
I'm still thinking that maybe he was baptised twice, especially as the witness at the wedding was Ann Bevan, and the Master of Abergavenny workhouse was a Mr Bevan with a daughter Ann. Tom Owen Freeman was born at Union Monmouth which as you have shown me before could be Abergavenny workhouse or Monmouth.
Maybe as Hannah was being baptised they felt it appropriate to baptise Thomas as a Wright, but why not put him on the census as a Wright, not a Freeman.
Trouble is I can't find a birth registered for either Thomas Freeman or Tom Owen Freeman in the indexes that fits :(
