New user, Eugene Rideout here, in Toronto, Canada.

I have my wife's maternal grandfather's birth certificate. Data as follows:

CALEB HOLDER / Brockworth, Glos. / 27 April 1871
Mother: MARIA HOLDER formerly PRICE / Father's profession: Farm Labourer / Registrar: Ambrose Dawson Cookson / Dated Third June 1871
[This is an official copy of the original dated 18 February 1901, Entry No. 249 - Page 50.]

1871 Census records, the year Caleb was born, show the only Maria listed there as only ten years old at that time. Presume this is not the right Maria Holder.

Caleb was later killed in action in France in 1915.

Is this of value to anyone for filling holes in any of your searches?

All the best.

Eugene R.
